Sorry I didn't get to see you again.
Stayed two nights in Yuma
with Paul and Marie. A good rest.
500 miles today. Called Lillian
yesterday but too much of a hurry
to stop by. Several windmills
and lots of sagebrush by the highway.
They say it will only bloom
after heavy rain. Looks like
it hasn't rained in quite a time.
About the author:
Amanda Laughtland lives just north of Seattle. Her collection of poems inspired by "missed connections" personal ads, I Meant to Say, is available from Overhere Press. She publishes a very small zine called Teeny Tiny whenever she finds the time.
