Your black hair is a sea on the sheets
The spine of your neck
A stairwell leading down to it
Blood on the walls a map to forgetting
I would not mind it if your heart were a television
And within it a time capsule
And inside that some secret I never knew
Your babies look like me
I don't know what that means, but they do
And none of those limbless ones on CNN
None of those heartbreaking ones
Begging suckle from the lens
