School buses. Second-story turrets. Sunglassed joggers. Tourists.

My lover / biographer. The congregation.

Somehow, my organs are ordered and operating. But I always carry this

briefcase in my right hand.

I park in the threshold. The garage door comes down halfway. The

sensor as God. Thwarted.

In dreams: the eyeless. No one minds. As if the concrete itself

will lead them home.
