Disclosure

A break is a labor

precise as bonework,

a steady dismantling

of dichotomy:

the man structure

barely rooted by the story,

the face of the woman

it shed, left floating,

a fable without its moral:

no closed stitches

in the split, and the rupture

isn't complete.

About the author:

Brian D. Morrison is currently completing his MFA in creative writing at the University of Alabama.
