Gastronomy
I lay here in limber fish
(I am not a rice paper kite)
tormented by the wrappers
waiting to embrace me
alas, soak me in exquisite vinegar.
Snuggled against ginger and seaweed
"I wasn't aware of his fondness for sushi."
I tell my platter mate
who at this time
is in a fuzzy
remembrance of his days in the Pacific
induced by approaching death…
