A Clarinet
If it is not machine mastery, it is a language. Even without air, the cold clattering of padded keys impresses the tiny white seals with seams. This hollow that is entered fills the blackening. Walnut oil, a silver sheen connects to a newly shaved reed, a wooden knob. All this is growing, all makes a flicker.
