Diagonal View of a Rectangular Door
I pried myself
from chaos here.
We are things like trees or dogs.
Now you light a cigarette
and start cosmetics wobbling.
Later bottles might fall
like my hand from my heart
each time I stumble away,
excusing myself.
Enough standing in front of you
for one day.
I might do better spilling tea.
There are patterns revealing
themselves all over my map.
Someone asked me
to dance in open space.
I giggled and declined.
Rest your frock of light
on someone else.
