Dear Editors Benavidez, Leary, & Vap,

Security alerts are not a western phenomenon; Seoul declared one yesterday. As of yet, they haven't given it a color, but when they do, I suspect it won't be pink. Illegal workers and terrorists, they say, are being rounded up. As far as I know, I am neither. My work permit was issued by Yonsei University, and my sympathies are too incongruent to be accepted into any club with a motto. Even with all this going on, my students tell me the leaves will be gone by Friday.

I took my MFA from the Kerouac School at Naropa University. I've spent the past few years teaching English at various schools in China, Thailand, and South Korea. My work has been published by the likes of Three Therefore Two, Bombay Gin, and Can We Have Our Ball Back?. I have work forthcoming from Piplit, Bullfight, and elimae.

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.

Best wishes,

Jim Goar
