Self-Portrait with Husk
"We live submerged at the bottom of an ocean of elementary air,
which is known by incontestable experiments to have weight."
– Torricelli
4.
In the land of dreamy potential suicide
I want to blame you for existence as if
You weren't just another bloated hope
Staring dumbly at his feet,
Whispering his name; my failing
Fiction made desperately, to fence in God.
Oh swollen mercury
Oh swollen Oh
I've given up praying
Not to dream of you
